Who we are

EverMap is operated by EverMap LLC, a limited liability company. This policy covers the EverMap app and the website at evermap.ai.

The short version — The app collects nothing on its own. We can’t read your photos, your places, or your conversations with Scout — that data lives on your device and in your own iCloud, where we have no access. The one exception is deliberate: if you choose to send us a diagnostic report or a support email, we receive what you send. The website collects one thing: your email address, and only if you choose to give it.

The EverMap App

What we collect: nothing, unless you send it. EverMap has no accounts of its own and no sign-up — the app uses the Apple account already signed in on your device for things like iCloud sync. There is no server of ours holding your data. Nothing is collected automatically: we do not receive or store your photos, locations, place names, usage data, or anything else in the ordinary course of using the app. There are no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs of any kind in the app, and no trackers. The only information that ever reaches us is what you choose to send, described under Diagnostics below.

Your photos and places. EverMap works with your photo library through permissions you grant in iOS. Photo analysis and AI features, including Scout, run on your device.

Sync. If you use EverMap on more than one device, it syncs through your own private iCloud database. That database belongs to your Apple account — it is encrypted and managed by Apple, and EverMap LLC has no ability to access it. iCloud is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

Network activity that isn’t collection. Some features use the network without sending us your data. To name a place, the app sends coordinates to Apple’s geocoding and Maps services — that exchange is with Apple and covered by Apple’s privacy policy. The first time you use natural-language search, Apple delivers an on-device language model to your device; that request goes to Apple and carries nothing about your places or your library. The app also downloads offline map modules from our own content server, cdn.evermap.net; like any download, those requests include your device’s IP address, and we do not link them to you or use them for tracking.

Diagnostics. The app keeps a small amount of diagnostic information on your device: app version and build, iOS version, device model, how many photos you have imported, and when you last imported. Alongside it the app keeps technical log entries drawn from a fixed list of 13 categories out of the 76 it defines. Those entries record counts, durations, ratios, and error codes — not names, titles, place names, coordinates, identifiers, file paths, search queries, or anything Scout wrote. None of it is sent anywhere on its own. If you choose to export a diagnostic report, the app assembles it as a plain text file and hands it to the iOS share sheet, and you decide where it goes. If you send it to us, we receive it and use it only to investigate the problem you are reporting. We do not link it to your identity and we never use it for tracking or advertising.

Crash and performance reports. A diagnostic report also carries any crash, hang, and performance payloads that iOS has generated for EverMap. Apple produces these, not us, and they are attached whole — the category list above governs our own log entries and does not filter Apple’s payloads.

Support email. Contact Support opens a message to support@evermap.ai with your app version, build, and iOS version filled into the body. Nothing is attached, and you can edit or delete any of it before you send.

The evermap.ai Website

What we collect. Your email address, and only when you voluntarily submit it through the waitlist form on this site. That is the entire scope of what the website collects.

How it’s processed. The form is handled by Formspree, a third-party form processor. Your email — and nothing else — is transmitted to Formspree and delivered to us. Formspree’s handling is covered by its own privacy policy.

What we use it for. To email you when EverMap launches and pre-orders open. Nothing else, ever. We do not sell, share, or rent your email address.

Tracking. The website sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics or advertising.

Removal. Want off the list? Email support@evermap.ai and we’ll delete your address.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we will update this policy and the date above before those changes take effect.
